RiverHawks Announce Roster Changes

The Augusta RiverHawks Hockey Club has announced a few roster changes in preparation for three weekend games. A retirement, a return and a suspension will lead the RiverHawks into the holiday weekend.

The RiverHawks confirmed the retirement of forward, Greg Holt, from professional hockey. In ten games played, the Mt. Sinai, NY native logged eight points, including two goals and six assists. Holt played collegiate hockey at Quinnipiac University from 2006 to 2010.

Over the weekend, it was announced that forward Kevin Fukala signed with the Florida Everblades in the ECHL. Today, the RiverHawks announced Fukala's return to Augusta after playing one game with the Everblades.

RiverHawks' forward, Aaron McGill, has been suspended for one game following his actions during Saturday night's game against the Mississippi Surge. McGill was served a five-minute major and a game misconduct for elbowing a Mississippi player. McGill will miss the game on Thursday, December 23 in Columbus.

The RiverHawks are back in action at the James Brown Arena Sunday, December 26th against the Pensacola Ice Flyers. The puck drops at 7:30pm.
