RiverCity Rage News Release

Rage Majority Owner, Tye Elliot and Director of Media Relations, Mike Thompson joined Rage Head Football Coach Mike Wyatt and PrimeTime Sports host Randy Gardner on his nightly News Channel 20 television show to talk about the coming season. Elliott and Thompson kicked off the first segment of the program explaining the change of ownership and the new emphasis on building stronger inroads with local media, while Wyatt capped the program talking about the sport and the Rage prospects for 2005.

"We want to reach out to all media, both great and small, " stated Mike Thompson when queried about his approach to getting the Rage message out to the fans. Thompson who has been a long time local St. Louis radio personality found it difficult to mask his enthusiasm about the Rage.

Tye Elliott spoke about his reasons for taking the reigns as a majority owner, "My company had been one the major sponsors in the past so I really liked the sport. Then Scott Wilson and Jerry Lakin asked me to join with them to buy the team from Ed Watkins." Elliott also explained that he had become a fan of the indoor game while living in Peoria and watching a very successful indoor team emerge in his hometown.

During the final segment of the show, Gardner questioned Wyatt about the nuances of the indoor game and how he thought the Rage measure up during the 2005 campaign. Wyatt also stressed the accessibility of players to the public and how Rage ticket prices were family-friendly. "Randy and Tom (producer) at News Channel 20 do a great service to the community with their show. We are grateful that they gave us a chance to talk about the new found enthusiasm with the Rage, "stated Wyatt.

The award winning PrimeTime Sports airs 3 times nightly on News Channel 20 and is also carried on the Charter Cable System. The Rage will be featured in future shows in February and just prior to the season in March.
