Riptide Sign Matt Bennett, Release Two Defenders

Uniondale, NY - Riptide EVP & GM Rich Lisk announced today that the Riptide have agreed to terms with defender Matt Bennett on a one-year-deal, pending league approval.
The 30-year-old Brampton, Ontario native is an eight-year NLL veteran who's spent the past three seasons with the Rochester Knighthawks. In 91 NLL games, Bennett has tallied nine goals and 29 assists, scooped 372 loose balls and recorded 82 caused turnovers.
The Riptide have also announced the release of defenders Joey Szabo and Justin Bragg ahead of this weekend's exhibition game against the Albany FireWolves.
