RimRockers debunk story

Arkansas RimRockers News Release
Indianapolis, IN. A news story under the byline of Chris Givens, an Arkansas Democrat Gazette reporter, surfaced today on a widely circulated website saying that the Arkansas RimRockers were leaving the ABA for the CBA. CBA officials as well as RimRocker officials were quoted in the story. The story is patently false. There was no press conference, no statements made by the CBA or any RimRocker official.
This was a deliberate attempt to undermind the ABA and the Arkansas RimRockers as the RimRockers prepare for the playoffs. The ABA office has received many calls and emails since the false release was posted. We are using this means to set the record straight. The Arkansas RimRockers are a quality organization with a fine team and are in good standing with the ABA. They will be a very competitive force in the playoffs. And we wish them well.
As for the author of the article and the website upon which it was posted - shame on you.
Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams. For information on professional minor leagues, please see OSC's basketball section.
