
Riders to wear special jerseys to honor all veterans

CEDAR RAPIDS- The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders will wear special military jerseys and give free tickets to all Veterans during their game against the Madison Capitals Saturday night at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena.
All veterans and active duty military will receive a free ticket to the game, and the Riders are offering discounted tickets to their family members who would like to attend with them.
"The RoughRiders organization, like all American businesses and citizens owe such a debt of gratitude to all of those who have served. We truly do appreciate the sacrifices made by these men and women as well as their families, and want them to enjoy an evening of hockey on us," said RoughRiders Co-President Doug Miller.
To receive a free tickets, Veterans simply have to call 319-247-0340 or stop by the ticket office during normal business hours or at the game Saturday night. A Veterans or active duty ID card will need to be shown to pick up the tickets.
SPECIAL JERSEYS
The RoughRiders will be wearing a special Military Jersey to show support for all who have served. A limited number of these jerseys will be offered to fans by silent auction during the game at the Cost Cutters Fan Service table.
POUR A VET A BUD
During the game, fans will be able to show their gratitude by purchasing an "extra" Budweiser product for a veteran at any concession stand, by telling the server you would like to "Buy a Vet A Bud." Veterans in attendance will then be able to pick up a free beverage by stopping by and showing their ID.
