Riders and Lions involved in trade

Saskatchewan Roughriders News Release

Saskatchewan Roughrider General Manager/Vice President of Football Operations Eric Tillman announced today they have acquired non-import offensive lineman Amariah Farrow from the B.C. Lions. In return, the Lions will receive import receiver Roosevelt Kiser.

Farrow (6'5 - 325 lbs) has spent the past three seasons with the B.C. Lions. He started one game on the offensive line last year and spent the remainder of the season on the practice roster. He has dressed in a total of four games for the Lions.

"We really like Amariah's potential; he's a huge man with pretty decent feet," stated Tillman. "In BC, he's been stuck behind two of the better tackles in the CFL in Murphy and Jiminez, which is a credit to the Lions, but, as a competitor, it has, understandably been a source of frustration for him. Amariah now gets a fresh start, and a chance to reach his significant potential. With this trade, we go into camp with outstanding depth and ratio flexibility up front. And, whatever decisions we make in training camp, we expect our offensive line to be one of the better units in the league."

"In Roosevelt, the Lions are getting a quick little guy who can certainly make things happen when the ball is in his hands. We wish him every success and believe this trade could easily prove to be a win-win scenario for both teams."
