
Richmond's David Brosseau and Kalamazoo's Chad Alban earn monthly recognition

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO---The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Thursday that Richmond RiverDogs right wing David Brosseau has been named Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Month and Kalamazoo Wings goaltender Chad Alban has been named UHL Goaltender of the Month for March 2004.
Brosseau completed the month of March with 22-points (12g, 10a) and a plus-five rating in 13 games. He registered at least one point in nine of the Jackals 13 games, including eight multi-point games. The 28-year-old Laval, Quebec native recorded a hat trick and two, four-point performances to finish the six month of the season. Brosseau currently ranks third among RiverDogs scorers with 60-points (30g, 30a) in 48 games and earned Sher-Wood Player of the Week honors for Week 18 (Week ending February 22, 2004) and Week 24 (Week ending April 4, 2004).
Other players nominated for the Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Month include: Adirondack left wing Hugo Belanger, Elmira left wing Jamie Thompson, Flint right wing Bobby Reynolds, Fort Wayne defenseman Kelly Perrault, Kalamazoo defenseman Guy Dupuis, Missouri center Chris Bell, Muskegon center Todd Robinson, Port Huron center Benoit Genesse, Quad City center Jeff Williams and Rockford right wing Dave Paradise.
Alban finished the month of March posting a perfect 7-0-0 record, a 1.65 goals against average (GAA), a .932 save percentage (SPCT) and one shutout. He successfully turned away 151 of 162 shots on goal, including three nearly flawless performances. The 27-year-old Kalamazoo, Michigan native currently ranks second in the UHL with a 2.38 goals against average (GAA) and fifth in the league with 32 wins this season. Alban was named UHL Goaltender of the Week for the opening week of the season (Week ending October 26, 2003) and Week 21 (Week ending March 24, 2004).
