
Rich named CBA All-League Second Team

GARY, IN (March 22, 2005) â The Gary Steelheads announced today that point guard Jemeil Rich was named to the ALL-CBA 2nd Team for the second consecutive season.
Rich led the CBA in assists (9.7 apg) and steals (2.8 spg), becoming only the third player in CBA history to accomplish this feat. Jemeil also was 15th in scoring (17.8 ppg) and he pilfered a league-high eight steals on January 12 against Rockford. Rich is the Steelheads all-time leader in almost every statistical category including, games played, minutes, field goals attempted and made, free throws attempted and made, steals, and assists.
Rich was also voted to the Eastern Conference All-Star Team held in Gary this season, where he scored 15 points and dished out 10 assists for the victorious Eastern Conference.
"This is a great accomplishment for Jemeil and the Steelheads organization," stated Steelheads Owner and CEO Jewell Harris, Sr. "Jemeil had an solid season for us on the court and his talent was on par with any in the CBA. Again my congratulations go out to him on this honor."
Also making the Second Team were: Dakota Wizards guard Melvin Sanders; Sioux Falls Skyforce guard DeSean Hadley; Great Lakes Storm guard Mark Jones and Great Lakes Hoops guard Ezra Williams.
