Rhinos Release Pre-Season Schedule

(Rochester, NY). The Rochester Rhinos open their 2011 training camp on Monday, March 14th with a practice at Sahlen's Stadium set for a 10:00 a.m. start. The members of the Rhinos current roster plus invited players will be taking the pitch in the first practice of the 2011 season. Following practice Rhinos players, Head Coach Bob Lilley and Assistant Coach Bill Sedgewick will be available for the media.

"After a very busy off-season it is exciting to have training camp right around the corner", says Rhinos head coach Bob Lilley. "We have retained the core of a group that performed very well last season, winning the Division 2 regular season championship."

Training continues the week of March 14th at Sahlen's Stadium starting at 10:00 a.m. each day. A complete roster of current players and invited players will be released as training camp nears.

"We also have a strong group of trialists that will enable us to round out our roster", said Lilley. "Although there is much work in front of us, we anticipate a strong collection of players and feel we will compete for a championship."

On Wednesday March 17th, the Rhinos will open their pre-season match schedule when they host SUNY Binghamton at Sahlen's Stadium at 6:00 p.m. The spring schedule features five matches and admission to all Rhinos pre-season matches at Sahlen's Stadium is free and gates will open an hour prior to kickoff. Season ticket representatives will be on hand to show seats and take season ticket deposits.

The Rhinos will begin their 16th season on the road in Richmond, Virginia on Friday, April 15th, as they take on the Richmond Kickers at University of Richmond Stadium. Rochester opens its 2011 home slate at Sahlen's Stadium on Saturday, May 7th, against Charleston.

RHINOS TRANSFER PITCHKOLAN TO PUERTO RICO

The Rhinos also announced that the club has sold Midfielder/defender Aaron Pitchkolan to the Puerto Rico Islanders for an undisclosed transfer fee. Pitchkolan joined the Rhinos is April last season.
