
Rhinos Release Barry and Pilarski

Rochester Rhinos News Release
(Rochester, NY)...Rochester Raging Rhinos Vice President and General Manager Chris Economides announced that the team released midfielder Ian Pilarski and defender Patrick Barry earlier today.
Pilarski, the 5-11, 165-pound midfielder from Pittsford, NY, appeared in two games for the Rhinos this season. Last season, Pilarski appeared in eight games with the team. While at Pittsford-Sutherland High School, Pilarski was named the Greater Rochester Player of the Year and was a first-team all-state selection. Pilarski was also a two-time All-Ivy selection at Cornell University.
Barry, the 5-11, 165-pound defender from Brighton, NY, signed with the Rhinos in April 2004. In his professional career, Barry played with Banks O' Dee in the Scottish Junior Super League in 2003 and 2004. Barry attended the University of Chicago where he made the team as a walk on. By the time he was a senior, Barry was both an Athletic and Academic All-American.
Rochester will travel to the Great White North next week to face the Montreal Impact on Sunday, May 29th at 4:00 p.m. The team will then face the Toronto Lynx on Tuesday, May 31st for an 11:00 a.m. match. Sunday's game will be broadcast on Fickle 93.3 FM. Tuesday's game will be broadcast on News Talk 950 WROC. Both games will be webcast at www.rhinossoccer.com. The Rhinos will return home on June 3rd to play the Portland Timbers. The 7:35 p.m. kickoff will be broadcast on Fickle 93.3 FM and webcast at www.rhinossoccer.com.
