Rhinos Preseason Continues Tonight

Rochester, NY - The Rochester Rhinos remain on the road tonight to face the USL-2 Cleveland City Stars at Byers Field in a 6:00 p.m. preseason contest.

The Rhinos (1-0) kicked off their preseason schedule, winning 3-1 over St. Bonaventure University at Corning Memorial Stadium on April 9th. Hamed Diallo, Matthew Delicate and Johnny Menyongar netted goals for the Rhinos. Veteran goalkeeper Scott Vallow manned between the pipes for the first 45 minutes of play. Newly acquired Tim Melia played the second half in net for the Rhinos, allowing St. Bonaventure's only goal in the 75th minute.

Next week, Rochester prepares for three preseason games this week, including two at PAETEC Park. The first home preseason game is set for Monday, April 14th, as Rochester returns home for a 6:00 p.m. meeting against Hartwick University. The Rhinos remain in the friendly confines of PAETEC Park as they welcome Syracuse University for a 6:00 p.m. exhibition the evening of Wednesday, April 16th.

Rochester's preseason continues on Friday, April 18th as the Rhinos visit the USL-2 Harrisburg City Islanders at Athens Alumni Stadium in Athens, PA for a 7:15 p.m. contest.

The Rhinos close out the preseason campaign with two home contests. Binghamton University will be in town on Monday, April 21st for a 6:00 p.m. tilt with the three-time USL-1 champions. Rochester completes its schedule one week later with a visit from the St. Catharines Wolves on Sunday, April 27th for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff.

The Rhinos begin their 13th season on Friday, May 2nd at 7:30 p.m. in Charleston, SC, as they take on the two-time USL-1 champion Charleston Battery at Blackbaud Stadium. Rochester opens its 2008 home slate at PAETEC Park on Saturday, May 17th against Charleston at 7:35 p.m.
