Rhinos Let Fans Name New Concession Stand
May 9, 2016 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
Rochester Rhinos News Release
Rochester, NY - The Rochester Rhinos have teamed up with ButaPub & Peerless Events to create an all new fan experience when it comes to dinging at Rhinos Stadium. The new concession stand opening this season will allow fans to have a unique experience with each game. The Rhinos are also giving fans a chance to name it themselves as their goals to better connect with their supporters continues.
Located near Gate C, the new concession stand's menu will have consistent options, sourced by local vendors such as McCann's Local Meats, Headwater Food Hub/Good Food Collective, and many more. While the classic menu options are sure to make your mouth water, each game fans will see a different menu item inspired by the Rhinos opponent. For instance, when fans come out to support the Rhinos against Louisville on June 18, they can expect to see bourbon-glazed fried chicken inspired by the city.
The new stand does not yet have a name, and the Rhinos are letting the fans decide. In the upcoming weeks fans will have a chance to submit their names for the new food concept via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. All submissions will be considered, and the top three favorites will be chosen by Rhinos staff. Fans will then get to vote on their favorites and ultimately name the new stand in their stadium.
The standard menu will offer sophisticated menu options like cauliflower coconut curry, quinoa, and fried chick peas; as well as ramp hush puppies, harissa aioli, and scallions. The stand will also include classic favorites such as everything pretzels with beer cheese. With a diverse and changing menu, the new food concept is bound to be a fan favorite.
Starting this week fans will be able to share their name suggestions for the stand using #FeedTheRhino on the Rhinos social media outlets. The stand will be open for Saturday's 6:05 p.m. game against the Charlotte Independence.
