Rhinos Host Battery in ESPN3 USL Game of the Week

Rochester, NY - The Rochester Rhinos (3-1-1) will host the Charleston Battery (2-1-3) for the first time this season, at 7:05 p.m. on Friday May 6th. The teams met twice last season, with the first match ending in a 0-0 draw in Charleston, S.C. while Rochester came out victorious in a 1-0 battle in the second meeting.

The match is the USL Game of the Week and will be broadcasted live on ESPN 3.

Rochester is coming off two straight home wins and looking to continue their progress in the Eastern Conference standings. Last week the Rhinos took care of the Harrisburg City Islanders by a score of 2-1. The Rhinos jumped out to a 2-0 lead before allowing a late goal in the 86th minute, but finished strong.

Charleston on the other hand, is coming off of two straight draws, most recently a 1-1 tie vs the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. The Battery haven't won a game since April 9th v.s. Wilmington, and will be facing a strong Rhinos' defense.

Only one point separates the two teams heading into this match and Rochester puts their perfect home record on the line while Charleston looks for their first victory on the road.

Christian Volesky is the leading points scorer for Rochester, totaling three goals and one assist for the Rhinos (7 pts) while Charleston is led by goal scorer Romario Williams, who has totaled three goals this season.
