
Rhinos Gearing Up For Opening Day

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Rhinos Executive Vice President of Marketing and New Business Development Salvatore "Soccer Sam" Fantauzzo announced the Rhinos 2008 list of food vendors at PAETEC Park today.
Last month the Rhinos announced that Famous Dave's Legendary Pit Barbeque will serve as the main concessionaire at PAETEC Park. Famous Dave's will feature pork sandwiches, barbequed ribs, hamburgers, chicken wings, and Zweigles hot dogs at their five concession locations and smoke-pit trailer located in the concourse.
"The concession partners that we have to compliment Famous Dave's will give fans a wide range of choices when coming to PAETEC Park for a Rhinos match" said Fantauzzo. "We will be opening the stadium 90 minutes before each match because we want fans to enjoy their experience at PAETEC Park and the quality of food will certainly add to that experience."
In addition, Salvatore's Old Fashioned Pizzeria will provide fans pizza options, located within the Famous Dave's concession stand, ranging from individual slices to whole pizzas. Other food vendors and food options throughout PAETEC Park will include:
- Abbotts Frozen Custard (custard, milkshakes and floats)
- Calabria Italian Express
- Dippin' Dots - "The Ice Cream of the Future"
- Empanada Stop (Empanadas and Spanish coffee)
- Freshwise Catering (fresh salads and more)
- Nancy's Fried Dough (calzones and more)
- Simply Crepes (crepes and smoothies)
- Sweet Spot II (cotton candy and candy apples)
- Coca-Cola Products, Power Trip, various cold beer selections
As part of the Rhinos partnership with Famous Dave's, the concessionaire will donate 15% of sales to the different pro pass clubs that operate the concession stands. Teams interested in fundraising opportunities should contact the Rhinos ticket department at (585) 454-5425.
The Rhinos have also announced some additional new amenities at PAETEC Park for the 2008 season. The Nothnagle, Foodlink and Outdoor Accents Gazebos, located just inside Gate D on Smith Street, will feature various types of entertainment which will include face-painters, magic acts and clowns. In addition, the Rhinos have added the Blue Apple Kids Area, featuring interactive and inflatable activities for children as well as the Miller Brick "Hot Spot" fireplace also located inside Gate D.
Other new amenities inside PAETEC Park include:
- Regional Distributors Guest Service area (Gate D)
- Pace Window and Door Box Office (inside the Rhinos office)
- Patio Enclosure Broad Street Box Office (located on the Broad Street
side of the stadium)
Opening night festivities will also include a postgame concert featuring a full set of music by former American Idol star Bo Bice. The Alabama native will also perform two songs at halftime of the match. In addition, the first 5,000 fans will receive Thundersticks compliments of Rhino partners Nothnagle Realtors and Foodlink.
The Rochester Rhinos have also partnered with Kodak to help fans capture memories by giving away KODAK FUN SAVER Single Use Cameras at selected Rhino home matches during the 2008 season. Beginning on Saturday May 17, the first 1,000 families will receive limited edition Rochester Rhinos "Opening Night 2008" KODAK FUN SAVER Single Use Cameras.
Each of the remaining (5) Rhinos Saturday night home games will feature a different limited edition KODAK FUN SAVER Single Use Camera designed to highlight memorable moments of the 1998 championship team, the first in Rochester Rhinos history.
