
RGV FC Toros Host Midweek Game vs Arizona United SC

Edinburg, Texas - The Rio Grande Valley FC Toros (6-4-4) host the club's first midweek game against Arizona United SC (4-5-3) on Wednesday, June 22nd. The match will begin at 7:30p.m. at UTRGV Soccer and Track Complex.
The Toros last visited Sacramento Republic FC for an unfortunate 2-3 loss. Sacramento's Cameron Iwasa was off to a hot start. He shot a laser in the first minute of action that found the back of the net after slightly hitting the post. RGV's Jose "Memo" Rodriguez evened things out in the 14th minute off a Christian Lucatero assist. Cameron Iwasa gave the lead to Sacramento once more in the second half when he headed in a corner. Erin Bird brought the Toros even once again in the 71st minute, his second consecutive goal in back to back games. Emrah Klimenta's cross in the 87th minute slipped through RGV goalkeeper, Callum Irving, and gave Sacramento Republic FC the lead for a third and final time.
Arizona United SC had better fortune in their last match and beat Saint Louis FC 2-1. Tyler Blackwood opened the scoring in the 8th minute. Long Tan continued to build on momentum and scored in the 58th minute to double Arizona's lead. A defensive miscue led to a Saint Louis goal. Jordan Roberts scored in stoppage time.
The Toros will host Orange County Blues on June 26th . The game will kickoff at 7:30p.m. at UTRGV Soccer and Track Complex. Arizona United SC's next match will be on June 26th against Sacramento Republic FC.
