New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution today announced that the team's Aug. 12 match at Gillette Stadium against the Los Angeles Galaxy has sold out.
No tickets remain on sale for the match, for which the soccer capacity at Gillette Stadium will be increased to 32,000 and will include the entire lower bowl and East Fidelity Investments Clubhouse. The stadium's normal configuration and capacity for MLS games is 20,000.
"The public's interest in the Revs' match against Los Angeles with David Beckham has been phenomenal," Revolution Chief Operating Officer Brian Bilello said. "There has been a tremendous amount of excitement generated worldwide by David's arrival to MLS, and our fans will be among the first to see him as a member of the Galaxy."
In an effort to accommodate the large crowd expected on Aug. 12, parking lots and gates at Gillette Stadium will open one hour earlier than usual. Parking lots will open at 4 p.m., Center Circle season-ticket member gates at 4:45 p.m., and stadium gates at 5 p.m.
The Revolution (8-3-6, 30 pts.) currently sits in first place in the Eastern Conference and boast Major League Soccer's top offense (1.83 goals per game). The Revs were undefeated in the month of July, and next host the second-place Kansas City Wizards at 7 p.m. tonight, the first of four straight games at home to open August.
