
MLS Direct Kick Introduces New Offer for the Second Half of the MLS Season

NEW YORK (August 2, 2007) - Major League Soccer today announced a new second half offer on MLS Direct Kick, providing fans the opportunity to watch more than 40 MLS games over the second half of the season including select MLS Cup Playoffs matches. Direct Kick is available to fans on any of three separate outlets. Starting Aug. 4, satellite TV providers DIRECTV and DISH NetworkTM , along with digital cable provider iN DEMAND Networks, will offer this new, pro-rated package. The residential price is just $49 on any of the three platforms. Commercial establishments can purchase the package for a flat rate of $100. This package will be available for purchase through each outlet between now and the end of the season.
MLS Direct Kick will include regional broadcasts of MLS regular-season and select MLS Cup Playoff games, including pre-game and post-game shows (when available). All 195 games of the 2007 regular season, the 2007 Sierra Mist MLS All-Star Game, playoffs and MLS Cup 2007 are available between the following outlets: MLS Direct Kick package and national broadcast partners ABC, ESPN2, Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Sports en Español, HDNet and Univisión networks Telefutura and Galavisión. The League's full schedule, including television broadcasts, is available at MLSnet.com.
All 13 MLS teams, including new expansion team Toronto FC, and star players such as David Beckham, Juan Pablo Ãngel, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, Landon Donovan, Freddy Adu, and Christian Gómez, will be showcased on the Direct Kick package.
