Richmond Revolution News Release

RICHMOND, VA.: SportsQuest and the Richmond Revolution announced today that they have signed two more local players to contracts for the team's first season in Richmond.

Aaron Alexander - QB/WR: Alexander joins the Revolution after a short but promising career at Michigan State. After redshirting his freshman year, Alexander played back-up quarterback in 2002 , completing a pass for 44 yards and a touchdown. He made the transition to Wide Receiver for his sophomore season, playing in all 13 games, where he totaled 44 receptions for 522 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Alexander was slowed down in his junior season by foot surgery, and was unable to duplicate the success from his sophomore year, catching 15 passes for 178 yards, and completing 2 of 3 passes for 34 yards and a touchdown. After injuring his other foot in the off-season, Alexander missed his senior season.

In high school, Alexander was a PrepStar All-American, ranked number 12 among the nation's quarterbacks, and number two in the Mid-Atlantic Region. He was a two- time all-state QB at Henrico High School in Richmond, throwing for over 6,700 yards and 85 touchdowns in his prep career. As a junior in 1999, he was named the Virginia Player of the Year when he set state records for 3,017 yards passing and 43 touchdowns. During his time at Henrico, he also lettered in baseball, basketball and soccer. Alexander is now fully recovered from his injuries and ready to begin his professional career, back home in Richmond.

"I watched Aaron while he was at Henrico High School and followed his career at Michigan State very closely", said Revolution Head Coach Steve Criswell. "He's an incredibly gifted athlete and a very positive presence in the community. We're very lucky to have him."

Larry Williams - DB/WR/KR: Williams comes home to Richmond following a college career at West Virginia University and one season of play in the af2 with the Green Bay Blizzard. Playing both sides of the ball in Green Bay, he had 3 receptions for 16 yards, 2 field goal returns for 27 yards, 4 kick returns for 51 yards, 26.5 tackles (1.0 TFL), 1 interception and 8 passes defensed.

Over the course of his career at West Virginia University, Williams totaled 48 tackles, 2 interceptions, 2 forced fumbles, 1 recovery and 9 passes defensed.

At Highland Springs High School, he was named to the all-state team for three different positions, the only player with that distinction. His senior season saw him catch 35 balls for 848 yards and 6 touchdowns, as well as make 30 tackles, break up 11 passes and intercept 2. "Larry brings great experience to the team; he's an explosive kick returner", Coach Steve Criswell said, "Larry is exciting to watch play and we're excited to have him."

SportsQuest, is the newest member of the Indoor Football League. SportsQuest is in the process of building a 250 acre multi-purpose, multi-sport campus in the Chesterfield area of Virginia.
