New England Revolution News Release
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - New England Revolution midfielder Isaac Angking underwent successful surgery to debridge his left knee on Tuesday afternoon. The procedure was performed by Dr. Scott Martin at Brigham and Women's/Mass General Health Care Center in Foxborough, Mass. The Providence, R.I. native is expected to return to action after a recovery period of approximately six-to-eight weeks.
Angking, 19, became the fourth Homegrown Player signing in club history on Jan. 2, 2018, after developing for more than four years in the Revolution Academy. He appeared in three MLS matches last season and has yet to make an appearance with the first team in 2019, but played 90 minutes in the Under-19 team's spring season opener on March 17. On the international stage, Angking has represented the United States at the Under-14, U-15, U-17, U-19, and U-20 levels, most recently during the Concacaf U-20 Championships in November 2018.
The Revolution will return to MLS action this Saturday, March 30, when the club hosts Minnesota United FC at Gillette Stadium. The match will kick off at 2:00 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Boston, 98.5 The Sports Hub HD2, and 1260 AM Nossa Radio.
