(York, Pa): The York Revolution has announced its promotional and entertainment schedule for the 2008 season at Sovereign Bank Stadium. Several new giveaways and events to help fans REV IT UP at the ballpark are scheduled, and many of the most popular promotional nights from 2007 will return.

Highlighting the promotional schedule is All-You-Can-Eat with an Oriole Tuesdays, where Revolution and Oriole fans will have the opportunity to purchase a buffet ticket to have dinner along side a former Baltimore Oriole. Players already participating include Al Bumbry, Mike Bordick, Rick Krivda, Joe Orsulak, Boog Powell, Bill Ripken and B.J. Surhoff.

Other new events to keep an eye out for include Recession Stimulus Package Day on June 18 presented by Hatfield Quality Meats featuring 1 dollar hot dogs, Summer Camp Retreat and 3rd Shift Day on Wednesday July 23 against Bridgeport (11:07 a.m. first pitch) and Senior Citizen's Day on September 7 presented by Capital Blue Cross Medicare complete with seniors run the bases after the game. The Revolution is also anxiously looking forward to the Mascot Olympics, spanning two game nights on August 13 (including Opening Ceremonies) and 14 (Closing Ceremonies) against Southern Maryland. DownTown and other area mascots will compete in such grueling events as the "not so high jump" and toilet seat horseshoes for furry and fun supremacy.

On July 1 the Revolution will giveaway the first bobblehead doll in team history to the first 3,000 fans in attendance. The often imitated yet never duplicated Revs mascot DownTown will be immortalized in bobblehead form, presented by Turkey Hill Dairy. It's just one of a bevy of giveaways planned for the season. This summer, the Revolution will give away souvenir Rev caps (June 29), rally towels (May 16), cheerstix (June 17), umbrellas (July 22), mini bat and ball sets (June 27) and piggy banks (September 18).

Fans will also enjoy three special music nights at the stadium this season, beginning on Wednesday July 2 with "Pops in the Park," featuring the York Symphony Orchestra. Sunday, July 27 is Country Music Day at the Stadium, presented by Great Country 107.7 FM WGTY and will feature a post-game country music concert. On August 10, the Revolution will hold their second annual Faith & Family Day, also featuring a post-game show.

In addition to countless BIG surprises on Opening Day, the first homestand of the season will end with the annual "Bark in the Park," sponsored by 105.7 The X May 4 against Long Island at 1:37 p.m. Well mannered dogs are admitted free that afternoon, and the game will feature an appearance by Jake "The Diamond Dog." Other popular events to remember include Nerd Night featuring dancing nerd Myron Noodleman on June 12, and an appearance by "Reggy The Purple Party Dude" on August 8. Purple Jersey Night, to benefit Big Brothers and Big Sisters will be Wednesday, August 6, and fans will again have the opportunity to bid on the game-worn purple jersey of their favorite Revolution player in a post-game jersey auction.

Monkey Magic Mondays (A live monkey, live magic or both) will also return in 2008, along with player autographs and catch on the field, pre-game on Sundays. Kids Run the Bases presented by Rabbittransit are also after Sunday home games at Sovereign Bank Stadium. To top it off, the Revolution will feature 14 post-game fireworks shows in 2008, beginning Tuesday April 29 on Opening Day.
