BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors start their quest for a third consecutive Pacific Division Championship with two games this weekend, including the first 2011-12 regular season game on Mercy & Memorial Hospitals Home Ice at Rabobank Arena on Saturday against the Colorado Eagles at 7 p.m. The team opens the 2011-12 season on the road against the Ontario Reign on Friday at 7 p.m. before returning home on Saturday against Colorado.

Saturday's home opener is presented by 29 Eyewitness News, Fox Sports Radio 970 AM, and American Business Machines. For the second consecutive season the Condors will celebrate their home opener with a Pacific Division Championship banner raising. The first 3,000 fans, five and older, will receive a 3 x 5 ft. replica Pacific Division Champion Banner to take home with you. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

Come out to Rabobank Arena early on Saturday as there will be a Party on the Plaza presented by the Downtown Business Association at 4 p.m. The party outside the arena will feature vendors, carnival-style games, a mechanical bull, food, a beer garden, and more!

The all-new Primetime Perch will make its debut on Saturday night as well. This concession location is the only stand with a view of the action on the ice and is a great location for socializing with clients, friends, and co-workers. The Centennial High School Choir will perform the national anthem with special intermission performances by the Pine Mountain Rockettes and Ultimate Cheer All-Stars.

Saturday's contest will be televised live on Bright House Networks, digital channel 21, and also will be archived on Bakersfield On Demand, channel 300.

Both Friday and Saturday contests will be broadcast live in their entirety on Fox Sports 970 AM, available online at www.foxsports970am.com.
