Reno 1868 FC to Welcome Limited Number of Fans to Saturday's Playoff Game

RENO, Nev. - For the first time since February, Reno 1868 FC fans will be able to attend a game at Greater Nevada Field. The limited capacity re-opening comes just in time for Reno's Western Conference Quarterfinal tilt with LA Galaxy II on Saturday.
"Since March, we have been following every development across the world related to re-starting professional sports and bringing fans back into stadiums safely," said Reno 1868 FC president Eric Edelstein. "We now get to show off all we've learned at a critical juncture for our club."
Last week, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak issued a directive allowing groupsa of 250 or fewer statewide. The announcement also included that stadiums would be allowed to host 10 percent of their fixed seating capacity pending approval from the county. Reno 1868 FC has submitted a plan to the county to safely host 700 fans, but has not yet been approved.
Reno's plan to safely host fans has been in the works since the USL season was first suspended in early march, with the goal of welcoming fans in the safest possible way - not only for the health and safety of the fans in attendance, but the entire Northern Nevada community.
"We all want to thank the Washoe County and State of Nevada officials, advisors, and staff for their tireless efforts to provide guidance and feedback on our plan," said Edelstein. "We can't wait to welcome a small group of our strongest supporters and showcase to our entire community how to safely enjoy professional sports at Greater Nevada Field once again."
The playoffs kick off for Reno on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. PT against LA Galaxy II. Fans interested in joining the wait list for tickets can join here. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ nationally, as well as Nevada Sports Net and ESPN Radio 94.5 locally.
