Hartford Athletic News Release
Hartford Athletic announced today that Midfielder Tyreke Johnson has been recalled by Southampton FC.
Johnson joined the club on loan on February 24th. He played in 15 of the club's 16 matches, starting 11. Johnson played mostly left wing back but did make a few appearances as a forward for Athletic. He scored 2 goals and assisted on another. He will be remembered for the goal he scored against Loudoun United FC in the home opening match of 2020, putting Loudoun defender Adam Lundegard through the spin cycle and curling a beautiful ball to the far post to put Hartford up 3-0. We wish Tyreke all the best as he continues his career back in England.
