Ottawa Renegades News Release
OTTAWA â The Ottawa Renegades Football Club will be hosting an open Free Agent Camp this Saturday, April 30, at the University of Ottawa.
Open to all football players looking to show off their skills and talents for professional coaches, the camp will begin at 9 a.m. and last until 1 p.m. The cost is $25 and the entire Renegades coaching staff will be in attendance. The football field, at the new University of Ottawa sports facility (corner King Edward St. and Mann Ave.), will play host to the event, which takes place only two days after the CFL's 2005 Canadian College Draft.
"This is a chance for local players, and any other interested guys, to show us what they can do on the football field," said Chris McRobbie, director of player personnel for the Renegades. "It's open to anybody and we are expecting a good group of players to be on hand."
Players will undergo a series of tests and then individual drills.
"This is a good opportunity for kids who weren't drafted to get another occasion to get looks to further their football career," said McRobbie.
