Ottawa Renegades News Release

OTTAWA – After Saturday afternoon's Ottawa Renegades home game, players from the host club will show their appreciation to fans that have supported the squad all year long.

The Renegades players will be giving away 22 jerseys off the players' backs on the field following Ottawa's Frank Clair Stadium finale against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats (3 p.m., Saturday, October 30th). Five of the jerseys will be available for a silent auction, with all proceeds going to the United Way. With a minimum bid of $200, fans can bid on the game-worn playing sweater of Kerry Joseph, Kelly Wiltshire, George Hudson, Josh Ranek and Jason Armstead. The auction area will be in the Aberdeen Pavilion prior to the game at the TELUS Tailgate party between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

During the first two quarters of play, fans can also bid on the jerseys inside Gate A of the Ottawa Civic Centre – adjacent to the football stadium – until half-time.

Following the game, the Renegades will be hosting an autograph session at a specified area of the field. There, weather permitting, the remaining 17 jerseys will be given to lucky fans. Football supporters will get an opportunity to walk home with the game-worn jerseys of Brad Banks, David Azzi, Pat Woodcock, Ibrahim Khan, Darnell Kennedy, Val St-Germain, Raymonn Adams, Gerald Vaughn, Jason Kralt, Jerome Haywood, George McCullough, John Turntine, Kyries Hebert, Pat Fleming, Roger Dunbrack, Yo Murphy or Anthony Malbrough.

The game marks the "Pack the Park" day at Lansdowne Park, presented by TELUS. The day-long United Way fundraiser is a partnership where $5 off each ticket will go to the United Way. Among the main events during Saturday's game is the two-hour pre-game TELUS tail-gate party and the half-time show presented by TELUS – a concert featuring Colin James - one of Canada's best guitarists, who has solid over a million albums.

Tickets to the Renegades season finale are still available. Seats to the game may be secured by calling Ticketmaster at 613-755-1166 or by visiting http://www.ticketmaster.ca.
