Reign Add Two To the Blue Line

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings and AHL Manchester Monarchs, announced today that they have re-signed defensemen David Walker and Chad Starling.

Walker, 30, rejoins the Reign for his sixth professional season, having served as alternate captain for the team during the inaugural season. The Bridgewater, Nova Scotia native appeared in 70 regular season games with Ontario during the 2008-2009 season, recording 28 points (7g, 21a). Walker led the team in penalty minutes with 136.

Starling, 28, was an alternate captain for the Reign during the 2008-2009 season. The defenseman, who hails from Delisle, Saskatchewan, appeared in every game during the Reign's inaugural season, tallying seven points (2g, 5a) and 93 penalty minutes. The upcoming season will mark the ninth of Starling's professional career.
