Reid Honored With CHL Goalie of the Year

SAN ANGELO – The Southwest Division leading San Angelo Saints are proud to announce that goaltender Scott Reid has been awarded the Central Hockey League’s Scott Brower Award, for being the Most Outstanding Goaltender in the Central Hockey League. The Scott Brower Award is voted on by the Public Relations Departments and Head Coaches of the Central Hockey League’s member teams.

“We are extremely proud of Scott”, says Ray Edwards, the 2004-2005 CHL Coach of the Year. “He truly deserves it and has been our most valuable player all season long.” Reid, who is coming off of his 5th shutout of the season after a 5-0 win over the Corpus Christi Rayz Tuesday night, has played exceptionally well for the Saints this season and stands out in many league categories. Reid is currently ranked 6th in the CHL in goals against average with a GAA of 2.33, 3rd in wins with 30 for the season, 5th in minutes with 2547:58 minutes in 45 games played, 1st in total saves with 1461, 1st in save percentage with a .937 save percentage and is tied for 2nd in the CHL for shutouts with 5. “This is a great honor to receive such a prestigious award,” says Reid. “I could not have done it without my teammates and consider this as a team award.”
