Reggie Williams and Marquis Teague Lead Oklahoma City to Win over Idaho at Showcase

REGGIE WILLIAMS AND MARQUIS TEAGUE LEAD OKLAHOMA CITY TO WIN OVER IDAHO AT SHOWCASE
SANTA CRUZ, January 17, 2015 - The Oklahoma City Blue defeated the Idaho Stampede by a score of 116-95 to open up action on the third day of the 2015 NBA D-League Showcase presented by Samsung.
Reggie Williams finished with a game-high 27 points on 10-for-13 shooting, including four-of-six scores from three-point range. Williams has strung together his three highest scoring games of the year in the past three games (22 points, 30 points and today's 27 points). Over his last three games, Williams is shooting .744 (29-for-39) from the floor, all of which came in victories as the Blue extended their winning streak to five.
Marquis Teague came off the bench to record 15 points, a season-high 13 assists, three rebounds and a steal in over 30 minutes of action. It was the second time this season that Teague registered double-digit assists in a game.
Oklahoma City displayed some strong offense in the game's early stages. Their 12-of-20 shooting from the floor in the first quarter helped open up a 33-22 lead. They finished the day shooting .571 (40-of-70) from the floor.
Joel Wright sparked Idaho to a run in the first half to keep them within striking distance as the Stampede went into the locker room trailing 53-48 at the half. Wright scored 21 points on 8-for-15 shooting, to go along with eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and one block. Wright scored 16 of his points in the first half.
The Blue forced some separation late in the third quarter as they capped off an 11-2 run with a three-pointer by Williams and a layup by Talib Zanna to take a 79-68 lead and they pulled away in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Stampede 36-22.
Idaho trailed throughout and were never able to get it going from long distance. The Stampede as a squad only connected on three of their 24 three-point attempts. Oklahoma City with the help of Williams would make 13-of-26 three-point attempts on the day.
Oklahoma City and Idaho will both conclude their showcase slate on Monday, Jan. 19. Oklahoma City takes on the Westchester Knicks at 12:45 p.m. PT and at 3:30 p.m. PT. Idaho will meet the Fort Wayne Mad Ants to round out the showcase action for 2015.
