Chicago, Illinois - Chicago Red Stars have announced a new initiative with youth clubs in the Chicagoland area, dubbed the "Superclub" project. This partnership provides an opportunity for youth clubs and their players to be more closely intertwined with the Red Stars professional club and their initiatives.

The Red Stars are proud to announce the Downers Grove Roadrunners as the first club to partner on this unique platform.

The partnership includes player & mascot appearances, tickets, training, joint marketing ventures, and fundraising opportunities. The Red Stars and Roadrunners have previously partnered on such activities as "Eyes to the Skies" over Fourth of July weekend in Lisle. Once again the two groups will combine forces at "Eyes to the Skies," as well as for Women's World Cup watch parties throughout June, and the Red Stars will look forward to hosting the Roadrunners for their club-wide picnic on Sunday, August 23rd when the Red Stars take on Western NY Flash at Village of Lisle - Benedictine University Sports Complex.

"This will serve as a blueprint for mutually beneficial ways we can increase the level of partnership with youth clubs," said Director of Fan Experience Jay Adelberg. "We've enjoyed our relationship with the Roadrunners. From the board to the coaches and especially the players, they are a very special club."

Roadrunners youth players also expressed their excitement over the opportunities the partnership will offer.

"Going to the Red Stars game was so much fun and their players are so nice. I'm super excited for our partnership with them where we will get to have a player come to a training session!" - U-12 player, Abbie Peterson

"This is a great opportunity to build-up our Roadrunners program. I am really excited for our partnership to meet, train, and be associated with the Red Stars." - U-15 player, Emma Repking
