CHICAGO (June 11, 2015) - Nadine Angerer and Germany can book their place in the knockout stages of the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup with a victory this afternoon at 4 p.m. ET against Norway at Lansdowne Stadium in Ottawa.

The Portland Thorns FC goalkeeper recorded her eighth-career shutout at the World Cup for Germany in a 10-0 victory Sunday over the Ivory Coast in the opening game of the tournament for both teams.

The Germans got on the score sheet in the 3rd minute, with forward Celia Sasic scoring the first of her three goals, and never looked back - leading 5-0 at halftime before adding another five goals in the second half.

Fellow striker Anja Mittag also had a hat trick to tie Sasic for the early lead at the tournament for most goals.

Angerer needed to make only two saves in the match against the Ivory Coast, but should expect to be busier Thursday against Norway - who came to the tournament ranked 11th in the latest FIFA Women's Rankings, a full 56 slots higher than the Ivory Coast.

The Norwegians will also enter the match with the Round of 16 on their mind after their 4-0 victory over Thailand on Sunday - as forward Isabell Herlovsen scored twice to lead Norway to their first victory in their last three matches at the World Cup.

The game Thursday between Germany and Norway will be a rematch of the 2013 UEFA Women's Euro final, which the Germans won 1-0 as Angerer produced a Player of the Match performance by saving two penalties to help her country to the tournament championship.

Following the game, Germany will travel from Ottawa to Winnipeg where they will take on Thailand in the final game of the group stage for both sides.
