Tri-City Diesel News Release

Tri-City Diesel footballers overcame a 33-21 halftime deficit to come within two points with fewer than 50 seconds on the game clock in NIFL action in the Diesel Dome Friday.

The 42-44 score stood for the Red Dogs, however, as the two-point conversion try by the Diesel went astray. The intended pass fell to the turf, ending the possibility of a tie and a chance to send the contest into overtime. The loss is the fifth in seven games for the Diesel.

This Friday, the 10th, has the Omaha Beef making an appearance in Kearney. The two teams met in Omaha in the third week of league play. That outcome went in the favor of the Beef. The Diesel will be looking to make amends for that early-season loss.
