RED BULLS HOST DYNAMO WEDNESDAY: The Red Bulls look to bounce back and pick up their fourth home win of the season when they welcome in the Houston Dynamo Wednesday night at Red Bull Arena at 7:30 PM (TV: MSG; Radio: WQBU 92.7 FM). The Red Bulls will be looking to move back up to second place in Eastern Conference table, a place they relinquished when they fell over the weekend at New England.

Houston comes into the match currently tied for fourth in the Western Conference, having compiled a record of 5-5-1 and 16 points on the season. The Dynamo continued its up and down season last Saturday when they conceded a goal in the dying minutes against expansion side Philadelphia Union to drop a 3-2 result at home. After trailing at the break, the Dynamo took the lead with two goals off set-pieces. In the 52nd minute, Brian Ching leveled for Houston by nodding in a Brad Davis free kick. The hosts went on top just seven minutes later, on another free kick by Davis that this time found the head of Eddie Robinson, who finished off the chance. However, the Union fired back through Sebastien Le Toux in the 69th minute, and nabbed the dramatic winner in second half stoppage time when rookie Danny Mwanga knocked in a Le Toux feed.

All-time, the Red Bulls and Dynamo have been dead even, with both teams amassing 2-2-4 records against the other in regular season play. Neither team has defeated the other on the road in the regular season series. In 2008, the Red Bulls defeated the Dynamo in Houston in the first round of the MLS playoffs, en route to the team's MLS Cup Final appearance. Last season, the Red Bulls and Dynamo drew twice, with the last match between the teams coming on May 16, 2009, a 1-1 draw at Giants Stadium.

RED BULLS WELCOME IN CHIVAS SATURDAY: The Red Bulls welcome Chivas USA to Red Bull Arena for the first time on Saturday night at 7:30 PM (TV: FSC/FSE; Radio: WADO 1280 AM). This will be the Red Bulls' final match before the league-wide break for the Group Stage of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Chivas comes into the match on a four match losing streak. In their last match against D.C. United, the Goats looked poised to at least gain a point when forward Maykel Galindo weaved around multiple defenders and finished off a beautiful individual effort in the 80th minute to tie the match 2-2. However, a result would not be in the cards for the Goats, as in second half stoppage time, keeper Zach Thornton took down United's Santino Quaranta in the area, earning a red card and gifting the hosts a late penalty. Defender Dario Delgado had to man the net for Chivas for the ensuing penalty, and Carey Talley made no mistake about it, easily finishing off the chance.

The Red Bulls slightly trail Chivas USA in the all-time series between the two teams, as New York has earned a 3-4-4 record in 11 matches against their cross-country foes. This will be the second match between the teams this season, as on April 10 of this year, Chivas defeated the Red Bulls by a 2-0 score at the Home Depot Center. A Bouna Coundoul own-goal opened the scoring early in the 2nd half, and Chivas midfielder Jesus Padilla added a late strike to do in New York. Last season, the Red Bulls were 0-1-1 against Chivas, falling 2-0 at home on Aug. 15, 2009, and earning a 1-1 draw at the Home Depot Center on Sept. 26, 2009.

RED BULLS CAN'T OVERCOME LOSS OF TWO MEN IN LOSS TO REVOLUTION: Despite playing with only nine men for the last 15 minutes of the match and twice coming back from one-goal deficits, the New York Red Bulls fell to the New England Revolution, 3-2, on Saturday night at Gillette Stadium. The Red Bulls, who received goals from Seth Stammler and Juan Pablo Angel, played most of the second half with fewer than 11 men after Carlos Mendes and Roy Miller were red carded in the 55th and 75th minutes, respectively. New York is now 5-5-0 this season with 15 points.

Revolution captain Shalrie Joseph nearly gave the hosts the lead two minutes in, heading a Pat Phelan delivery wide left. However, six minutes later, Joseph was the orchestrator of the game's first goal. Joseph had possession in the midfield and found an on-rushing Marko Perovic, who created space in the penalty box and slotted it home with his right foot past goalkeeper Bouna Coundoul to give the Revolution the lead.

New York looked to tie the game in the 16th minute with two long range chances. First, a Joel Lindpere free kick was punched away by New England goalkeeper Preston Burpo. Seconds later, Stammler's long range effort was parried by Burpo before Phelan slid in to deflect away Lindpere's follow up attempt.

Stammler leveled the game in the 20th minute with a spectacular effort. Miller found Stammler open on the left wing and the midfielder blasted a left-footed attempt from an acute angle that zipped past Burpo and into the back of the net. It was Stammler's first goal since June 18, 2008 - a 1-1 tie against New England at Gillette Stadium. Miller was later open with a free header, but could not get his attempt on goal.

New England retook the lead four minutes later. Seth Sinovic delivered a cross into the penalty box that New York defender Tim Ream inadvertently nodded into his own net.

In a back and forth first half, Red Bulls forward Dane Richards nearly tied the game again for the visitors, weaving past his defender and forcing Burpo to make a sprawling save on the Jamaican's shot. Miller threatened Burpo again in the 32nd minute, firing a left-footed shot that Burpo dove to his right to touch away. Burpo was forced to leave in the 34th minute with a severe right leg injury after colliding with Richards in a 50-50 challenge outside of the box. He was replaced by Bobby Shuttleworth, who made his first save within the six minutes of first half stoppage time, pushing away a Sinisa Ubiparipovic shot at the right post.

The Red Bulls tied the game for the second time in the evening in the 49th minute. Lindpere slotted it to an open Danleigh Borman on the left wing. Borman's delivery found Angel, who headed it home for his fifth goal of the season. New York was reduced to 10 men in the 55th minute, when Mendes earned his second yellow card of the match for a tackle from behind on Perovic. Mendes was given his first yellow card of the night in the 44th minute.

The Revolution looked to capitalize on their advantage, with substitute Edgaras Jankauskas making Coundoul stop an attempt from eight yards out and defender Kevin Alston just missing left after getting free at the top of the box. The Red Bulls were given their second red card of the match by referee Andrew Chapin 15 minutes from full time, as Miller was given his marching orders for allegedly throwing an arm out at Zak Boggs. Mendes and Miller are suspended one MLS regular season match for their respective ejections.

New England took the lead for good in the 80th minute. Joseph hit a looping pass to an onside Zach Schilawski, who headed it past Coundoul.

RED BULLS REACH USOC ROUND OF 16 WITH WIN OVER RAPIDS: A two-goal performance by John Wolyniec and a second half strike from Conor Chinn lifted the New York Red Bulls to a 3-0 win over the visiting Colorado Rapids at Red Bull Arena Wednesday night in the final MLS qualifying round for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. With the win - New York's third this season in MLS qualifying - the Red Bulls advanced to the tournament's third round, where they will play later this summer against a team yet to be determined.

The Red Bulls took the lead in the 11th minute. Sinisa Ubiparipovic skipped by a Colorado defender before finding Irving Garcia on the right wing. Garcia delivered a low cross into the box that Wolyniec redirected past goalkeeper Ian Joyce for his third goal of the tournament.

Later in the interval, Chris Albright played a high cross to the back post and Jeremy Hall nodded it into Joyce's hands. In the 29th minute, Rapids midfielder Colin Clark got on the end of a deep ball at the back post and it was deflected away by goalkeeper Greg Sutton. Soon after, Hall had another good chance at the left post to head one in, but his attempt went into the side netting.

New York doubled its lead two minutes before the break. Tony Tchani drove into the Rapids' defensive half and found Wolyniec, who was making a run into the penalty box. Wolyniec was able to get a bit of space and rifled a right-footed shot into the back of the net for his 36th goal for New York in all competitions.

The hosts expanded their lead to 3-0 in the 56th minute. Ubiparipovic had possession and tried to guide a ball towards the top of the Colorado box. Rapids defender Drew Moor failed to clear it and Chinn was able to get free, chipping it over an on-rushing Joyce.

The Rapids' best chance of the match came 22 minutes later, when a Mehdi Ballouchy free kick curled around the wall, beat Sutton and slammed off the crossbar. Chinn nearly made it 4-0, pushing a shot just past the right post nine minutes from full time. Colorado was reduced to 10 men in the 86th minute, as Danny Earls was red carded for a late tackle on Ubiparipovic.

New York reached the final round of MLS qualifying for the Open Cup Wednesday after defeating the Philadelphia Union, 2-1, on April 27 and the New England Revolution, 3-0, on May 12.
