Edmonton Capitals News Release

Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Capitals are just one victory away from tying the Golden Baseball League record for consecutive wins - but that doesn't mean they don't have time to help develop young players from the Edmonton area.

The Caps are currently riding an impressive 12-game winning streak, and are one win short of tying the GBL record of 13 games. They already have a longer winning streak than the Edmonton Oilers' all-time record streak of nine games, and they are closing in on the Edmonton Eskimos' streak of 14 games, which was achieved over the course of two seasons.

The Caps (28-15) play again Thursday against the Yuma Scorpions, but they are hosting their second instalment of the Capitals Summer Camps presented by St. Francis Xavier Baseball Academy for local players between the ages of six and 16, starting on Wednesday.
