RECAP | Devils Outlast IceCaps 2-1 in Overtime

ST. JOHN'S - A close game at Mile One Centre was determined in overtime as the St. John's IceCaps were defeated by the Albany Devils 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.

Jacob MacDonald potted the first goal for the Devils but the IceCaps' Charles Hudon scored his twelfth of the season with just 44 seconds left in the first to tie it up. Hudon's goal was unassisted.

The game remained scoreless for the final two frames, forcing it to overtime where the back-and-forth play finally ended with a tally from Joe Blandisi to win it for the Devils.

Yann Danis made 30 saves in a second star performance.
