Raleigh Rebels Enter Playoffs,
The Raleigh Rebels of the American Indoor Football League will meet the Richmond Bandits at the Richmond Coliseum, Monday, June 19th in the first round of the AIFL playoffs. The Rebels (8-6) lost both meetings to the defending league champion Bandits (12-2) during the regular season.
Raleigh Rebels Earn 6 All-Conference Accolades
The Raleigh Rebels of the American Indoor Football League had six players named to the Southern Division All-Conference Team. First team players for the Rebels were team leading wide receiver Lavel Bailey (5'10", 185 Akron), linebacker and team captain John Williamson (6'3, 235 ECU), defensive end Terrance Chapman (6'4", 270 NC State), and defensive back/ special teams ace Montrail Pittman ( 6', 205 NC A&T).
The two All-Conference 2nd team Rebel's were defensive end Shawn Price (6'2", 235 NC State) and kick returner Sammy "Sho Tyme" Henderson (5'7", 175 NC A&T). The Rebels, a third seed, will travel to the defending Champion Richmond Bandits in the first round of the AIFL playoffs. The game is scheduled for 7pm, Monday, June 19, at the Richmond Coliseum.
