Real Monarchs News Release
HERRIMAN, Utah - Real Monarchs SLC has signed DF Noah Powder ahead of the 2019 USL Championship season, General Manager Dan Egner announced today. Powder's signing is pending league and federation approval.
"Noah was one of the top left backs in the USL last season and having over fifty USL matches under his belt at twenty years old is massive. Left back is a tough position to fill, and we couldn't be happier to bring Noah in to fill that role for us. Noah has set goals that he is determined to reach, and we hope to continue Noah's development and help him reach those goals."
Powder, 20, spent the 2018 season with Orange County SC where he logged 1,636 minutes in 22 matches. Making 16 starts at left back for OCSC, Powder notched three goals and added two assists. An Edison, New Jersey native, Powder spent the 2016 and 2017 seasons with New York Red Bulls II where together with Monarchs defender Konrad Plewa, helped New York to the USL Cup title in 2016. Powder has also featured for the Trinidad & Tobago U-17 and U-20 sides since 2016.
"I'm very excited join The Real Monarch's for the 2019 season," Powder said. "The Monarchs are a club with great potential. I will be looking to make the most of this opportunity in helping this club bring the USL Cup to Utah."
