* Head Coach Kelly Logan would like to "express" his gratitude to all of the loyal fans both young and old that are part of the "9th Man" in the stands. You make "The Railyard" the toughest environment in all of the AIFA!!! Go Express!!!*

Scouting the Bears:

Da Bears come in riding a two-game winning streak, defeating Baltimore and Carolina in successive weeks. They defeated Baltimore 51-22 and Carolina 63-34. The Bears have kept every game close this season with their largest defeat being by 32 points at Carolina in the second week of the season. Quarterback Tyvon Green passed for 251 yards and five touchdowns in last week's win. Wide receiver Shaun "Spiderman" Holmes caught eight passes for 101 yards and five scores, while the defense forced three turnovers. Holmes is also a dangerous kick returner as he has returned 16 kicks for an average of 18 yards and 1 touchdown.

Scouting the Express:

The Express hung on for the second straight week against a divisional opponent, as they beat Danville 56-42. Isaiah "Big Zeke" Grier paved the way with three touchdown runs. The Express defense was banged up but was able to pull together and deny a late Danville rally. Quarterback Tom Stetzer continues to power the offense as he threw for four touchdowns. The Express will hope to get some of the injured back this week or look to fill those holes with new players. The team still has the luxury of a 2.5 game lead in the division with six games remaining, including Saturday.

Players to Watch:

Bears

# 12 QB Tyvon Green- only threw seven incomplete passes last week and five touchdowns, if he continues to play well, the Bears have a legitimate shot at an upset.

# 2 Shaun "Spiderman" Holmes- he doesn't leap tall buildings in a single bound, but he puts the ball in the end zone, and he will have to find holes in the banged up Express defense.

Express

Secondary- will need to put a clamp on Holmes and when the defensive line puts pressure on Green; this unit must be ready to make the big plays.

# 5 Armar Watson- he continues to explode out of the end zone on kickoff returns, returning one for a touchdown last week. The Express could have great field position all game long if Watson is able to bust some moves.

Keys to the Game:

Bears:

1. Think Big- the Bears are playing some of their best football this season and are riding a tidal wave of momentum, they should be thinking upset as they are only three games out of the final playoff spot in the AIFA Southern Division.

2. Spidey vs. Sargeant- Holmes will probably be matched up against DB Marcus Sargeant of the Express who along with Armar Watson always plays lockdown defense; Holmes will need a lot of spidey speed to get past Sargeant and company.

Express:

1. Grind it out- with the defense banged up last week, the Express went to the ground game to try and use some clock, look for Grier and Taglienti to find holes in the Bears defensive line.

2. Cooper & Ocasio- the best wide receiver tag team in the league has been stellar again this season and they will both get at least two scores in this one.

Prediction:

The Express are undefeated at home and the Bears have only won one road game this season @ Baltimore. Although the Express are banged up on defense, they will have enough offense to win this game. This one should be close until the fourth quarter.

Bears 45
