Reading Express News Release

Reading Express GM/Head Coach Bernie Nowotarski announced today that he has re-signed former Reading Central Catholic and Duquesne star and graduate, Yardon Brantley.

After a 10 catch opening night, Yardon Brantley's second game with The Express ended after just his second catch of the night, with a broken shoulder. A long 9 week recovery and hard work brought Yardon back on the field for The Express and with it came 50 more catches and 10 TD's. "It's hard to imagine how many catches and TD's Yardon would have had if he doesn't sustain his injury "said Head Coach Nowotarski.

"We're ecstatic to have Yardon re-signed for the 09 season.Yardon has been to every level of the game. After college, he was in the Philadelphia Eagles camp and he then went on to play for the San Jose Sabercats in the AFL. We're fortunate to have such a great local talent pool here in Berks County and I can't tell you how thrilled I am that Yardon has come home to Berks and gets to play in front of his friends, family members and past coaches. He brings a great deal of indoor experience to us as well as great athletic ability and skill. He's an exciting player to watch "commented Nowotarski.
