RDS mid-season rookie excellence awards revealed

BOUCHERVILLE, Thursday, January 11, 2007 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced today the names of the RDS mid-season rookie excellence award winners. The selection is made by the head coach of each organization.
"RDS is proud of its association with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, which now spans over a decade. We are thrilled to pay tribute to the game's most promising players," underlined Michel Gagnon, the Vice-President of Marketing and Sales at RDS. "Recognizing the efforts of the League's best players at the mid-point of the season enables our network to underline their immense potential. Moreover, we can expect several of them to showcase their talent at the NHL level in a few years. They truly are a part of the sports' elite."
The winners of the RDS mid-season rookie excellence awards will receive a luxurious sports bag prior to a home game. Furthermore, during the Golden Puck Awards Gala on April 4th, the QMJHL rookie of the year will receive the RDS trophy as well as an education bursary worth $1,000.
