RazorSharks take over first place

Rochester RazorSharks News Release


(Rochester, NY)...The Rochester RazorSharks (6-1) kept their streak alive at the Blue Cross Arena extending their home winning streak to 40 games, with a 107-97 victory against the Wilmington Sea Dawgs (6-2). The Rochester victory put the team into 1st place in the East Division, with a half game lead over the visiting Sea Dawgs. The RazorSharks win was led by Sammy Monroe with 24 points. The Sea Dawgs were led by Cedric McGinnis with 22 points and 13 rebounds.

The 1st quarter came to an end with a RazorSharks lead of, 33-26. The quarter was caped off with a half-court, buzzer-beating 3-pointer by Demond Stewart, who had 11 points in the 1st and finished the game with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Rochester took a 53-45 advantage at the end of the 1st half.

The RazorSharks came away with the victory with the help of Jerice Crouch, who had 21 points, 16 points in the 2nd half and 11 points in the 4th quarter alone.

Rochester goes on the road for a 4-game road trip, starting February 9, at the Reading Railers. RazorSharks next home game is another battle vs. the Wilmington Sea Dawgs, Saturday, February 16, at 2:05pm.

RazorSharks next home game is in honor of local area service men and women 1st responders, including military, police, fire, and rescue. Service men and women, who present an ID or badge at the box office, will receive $2 off any general admission ticket. Also, the first 1,000 fans will receive a RazorSharks key chain.
