(Rochester, N.Y.)Å The Rochester RazorSharks (27-4) beat the Newark Express 126-98 yesterday at The Blue Cross Arena to advance to the quarter-finals of the ABA Playoff Championships - The Great Eight. Rochester will be the host city for the final eight teams remaining in the ABA Playoff Championships, beginning with quarter-final action on Wednesday, March 22 at The Blue Cross Arena.

Tickets for The Great Eight are on sale at The Blue Cross Arena Box office, on the internet at www.ticketmaster.com or via phone by calling (585) 232-1900. Three different ticket packages are offered for all seven games, the weekend semi-finals and final and a day-by-day package. (see ticket package pricing below)

ABA QUARTER-FINAL PLAYOFF MATCH-UPS

Wednesday, March 22

12:00 - Strong Island Sound (18-14) vs. Indiana Alley Cats (28-4)

2:30 p.m. - Maryland Nighthawks (25-10) vs. SoCal Legends (21-5)

5:00 p.m. - Bellingham Slam (20-14) vs. San Jose Skyrockets (30-5)

7:30 p.m. - Atlanta Vision (16-7) vs. Rochester RazorSharks (27-4)

Semi-Finals - Saturday, March 25

12:00 - Bellingham/San Jose winner vs. Atlanta/Rochester winner

2:30 p.m. - Strong Island/Indiana winner vs. Maryland/SoCal winner

ABA Championship Game - Sunday, March 26 - 2:00 p.m.

MEDIA NOTE - all teams will practice at The Blue Cross Arena on Tuesday, March 21 from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. The RazorSharks will practice from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena on Tuesday. Call Steve Rossi at (585) 329-8802 for all Great Eight team practice sessions times.

Great Eight Ticket Packages

Four games will be played on Wednesday, March 22 at 12:00 noon, 2:30 p.m., 5:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The semi-finals will be played Saturday, March 25 at 12:00 noon and 2:30 p.m., with the ABA Championship Game tip-off scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 26.

All ticket prices include the $1.50 Arena surcharge. RazorShark season ticket holders will receive a 20% discount on all ticket packages. Groups of 15 or more fans will receive a 10% discount off the Game Day pricing.
