RazorSharks Go For Season Sweep Against Stampede

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester RazorSharks travel to Buffalo on Thursday, March 18th to try and sweep the season series from the Stampede. The `Sharks won the first three games by scores of 133-104, 131-110 and 105-91.

In those games, Keith Friel was Rochester's leading scorer averaging 20.0 points per game. Buffalo's Andy Robinson led the Stampede with 16.0 points per game, but is currently on the injured reserve.

Saturday, the RazorSharks defeated the Halifax Rainmen in overtime 115-113. Keith Friel scored 24 points to lead Rochester, while Halifax's (9-5) Tony Bennett finished with 33 points.

The Buffalo Stampede are on a seven game losing streak, dropping their last game to the Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry (13-2) 164-96. Corey Herring and Kevin Ross led Buffalo with 19 points apiece. Herring (13.1 ppg.) and Ross (13.2 ppg.) are the Stampede's (3-12) leading scorers behind the injured Andy Robinson (19.5 ppg.).

Keith Friel is 14th in the PBL in scoring with 16.9 points per game. Jerice Crouch is one of the leaders in points (16th with 16.6 per game), steals (4th with 2.0 per game) and assists (5th with 5.7 per game). Marlin Johnson is the league leader in steals with 2.7 per game and is 7th in rebounds with 8.5.

The RazorSharks' (11-3) next home game will be Thursday, March 25th against the Quebec Kebs (2-11). Tip-off is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
