RazorSharks Face Cavalry In PBL Finals

(Rochester, NY) . . . On Thursday April 22nd, the Rochester RazorSharks will play the Lawton-Fort Sill Cavalry in Game 1 of the Premier Basketball League finals. The game will be held at the Blue Cross Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. Game 2 will be played in Oklahoma, Sunday April 25th at 7:05 p.m. and Game 3, if necessary will be a road game Tuesday April 27th at 7:05 p.m.

The RazorSharks finished off the Puerto Rico Capitanes on Sunday afternoon, winning the second game in the series 132-108 to send them to the PBL finals for the third time in three years. Glen Dandridge led the `Sharks with 22 points, hitting six of eight from three point range. Omar Alvarado was the leading scorer for Puerto Rico (14-6) with 27 points. Rochester is now 7-1 in PBL postseason play with their only loss coming last year in Game 2 of the PBL semifinals against the Manchester Millrats.

The Cavalry wrapped up their series with the Halifax Rainmen (13-9), winning both games by scores of 108-104 and 135-104. For the season DeAnthony Bowden is the teams leading scorer with 16.8 points per game. Rashad Woods and Brandon Dean average 15.7 and 14.4 points respectively for the Cavs (20-2).

The RazorSharks are 0-2 this season against Lawton-Fort Sill. February 11th Rochester lost at home 97-90. The Cavalry's DeAnthony Bowden scored 18 points, while Lincoln Smith led the `Sharks with 16. In Oklahoma on March 21st, Rochester suffered their only loss in the past 14 games 115-88. Lawton-Fort Sill's Jamaal Davis put up 23 points and Lincoln Smith again led the RazorSharks with 19.

Rochester's (18-4) Keith Friel is the PBL's 12th leading scorer with 17.1 points per game. Jerice Crouch is 19th in scoring with 15.4 ppg and 5th in assists with 5.7 per game. Marlin Johnson leads the league in steals with 2.6 per game and is also 9th in rebounds with 8.1.

Courtside seats are priced at $25.00, Lower Reserved seats (Level 100) at $10.00 and Upper Reserved Seats (Level 200) at just $5.00.
