Corpus Christi IceRays News Release

The Rayz are happy to announce six new prizes for the Third and final Period of the Rayz Rewards Season Ticket Benefit Program. Rayz Rewards is an annual incentive program that provides Rayz season ticket holders with the chance to win non-traditional prizes. A number of exclusive prizes have been awarded over the last two years including the opportunity to practice with the team (in full gear), dinner with your favorite players, closed skating parties with the team, broadcasting a game on the radio as well as the opportunity to sign a contract and actually play in a game. All season tickets holders in good standing at the time of each drawing are eligible to win. Season ticket holders receive one entry for each season ticket purchased and are eligible to win multiple times.

The Third Period Drawing will take place on Friday, September 22nd. The drawing is done by a raffle of all Rayz season ticket holders. As each winner is selected they will have their choice from any of the remaining prizes for that period. All winners will be contacted directly and winners, and their selected rewards, will be posted on the Rayz website. The Rayz will conduct a final, Grand Prize drawing later in the off-season at the Rayz season ticket holder party. In 2004, Rayz season ticket holder, Alex Prado won the Grand Prize and signed a contract with the Rayz and played in a home game at the American Bank Center. Details of the 2006 Rayz Reward Grand Prize will be released soon.

On Monday the Third Period prizes were announced (see below). Fans are encouraged to contact the Rayz today at (361)814-PUCK to place a deposit or make payment on their season tickets to guarantee their eligibility for Rayz Rewards.

RAYZ REWARDS - THIRD PERIOD PRIZES

- Learn With the Pros

If you've ever wanted to take the ice with members of your favorite hockey team, this is the reward for you! Receive instructional tips from Rayz players that will teach or improve your skating and/or hockey ability regardless of what skill level you are. You'll have your very own practice session at the American Bank Center with the Rayz.

- On the Air with the Rayz

Here's your chance to broadcast a Rayz game live from the American Bank Center. The winner will join Rayz play-by-play broadcaster, Josh Bogorad during one of the home games and serve as the color analyst for a period on Rayz flagship station, ESPN 1230AM KSIX.

- Rockin' With the Rayz

Party like a rock star (or at least in front of one) when your favorite musical act comes to Corpus Christi. You'll be there to see it at the Concrete Street Amphitheater with two free tickets to an upcoming show.

- Celebrity Showdown

Each year the Rayz host various celebrities at games. Commemorate the event this season, as you get an autographed picture with your favorite celebrity taken live at the game. The celebrity of your choice will personalize the autograph and you'll leave the game with a one-of-a-kind souvenir.

- Voice Over

You will become the Public Address Announcer at the American Bank Center as part of a Rayz home game. Announce the Rayz goals, the penalties, welcome the Rayz onto the ice and take full control over the American Bank Center Arena loudspeakers.

- 3...2...1...You're On!

You'll conduct an interview with a Rayz player of your choice and that interview will be filmed and played on the video board at the American Bank Center. Ask all your burning questions and then let the entire audience hear the answers during a Rayz home game.

The Corpus Christi Rayz are currently in preparation for the 2006-2007 season. The Rayz return to the American Bank Center is only 33 days away. Corpus Christi will begin their season at home on October 21st vs. the Laredo Bucks at 7:05pm. Season ticket packages and corporate sponsorship opportunities are currently available.
