
Rawlings IBL Player of the Week

First baseman Chris Novia of the Kitchener Panthers is the Rawlings Intercounty Baseball League Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, June 22, 2008.
Novia, in two games last week, had six hits in eight at bats, connecting for a double, two home runs and five RBI's. He also stole one base and had a walk.
On Thursday June 19 at home against the Hamilton Thunderbirds, he was 4-for-5 with two home runs and five RBIs, a stolen base and three runs scored in an 11-9 loss.
The following day at home against Oshawa, Novia was 2-for-3 with a double, walk and hit by pitch as the Panthers defeated Oshawa Dodgers 8-6. He also scored two runs.
Novia is now batting .286 on the season and leads the Panthers with three home runs. He also has seven RBI's in seven games played this season.
