Ravens Land League-Best Three Players on All-Star Team

The New Haven Ravens had three players selected for the Eastern League All-Star Team today, including relief pitcher Matt Duff, designated hitter John Gall and outfielder Dee Haynes. The Ravens were the only team to have three players make the squad.
Duff, 27, has a 1.43 ERA and has struck out 88 and walked just 20 in 63 innings. Appearing mostly in middle relief, he is second on the Ravens in wins with 10 and has four saves. He earned a brief promotion to St. Louis, pitching in seven games from July 30 through August 13 and posting a 4.77 ERA.
Gall, 24, set the team record for hits (161), doubles (45), and extra-base hits (66) in a season this year. He leads the league in each of those categories as well. Gall also gained notice for initiating the popular "Gall Mobile" promotion at historic Yale Field, giving fans the chance to win his Cadillac in a drawing that will be held this Monday in the regular season finale.
Haynes, 24, is among the league leaders in each of the Triple Crown categories with a .311 batting average (5th), 21 homeruns (2nd) and 97 RBIs (1st). His RBI total is the best in all of Double-A. Earlier this season, he became just the second Raven in team history to homer over the "Green Monster" scoreboard in centerfield at historic Yale Field. The 35-foot high wall is 405 feet from home plate. Haynes was named to the Double-A All-Star team, and was the E.L.'s JPMorgan Chase MVP for the Month of May.
