Dallas Rattlers News Release
Frisco, TX - The Dallas Rattlers will honor Luke Allred, a local youth lacrosse player and cancer fighter, by dedicating the team's game on August 10 as Luke's Birthday Celebration. The first 1,000 fans inside Ford Center at The Star will receive a free Rattlers birthday party hat.
Last season, the Rattlers signed Allred as an honorary Rattler. This season, to celebrate his progress, the Rattlers are throwing the biggest birthday party in town.
To further raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer, the Rattlers are partnering with DKMS, a non-profit organization dedicated to bone marrow donor registration, to be the foundation partner of the evening. Fans are invited to pledge donations online for every goal scored with proceeds directly benefiting DKMS. Click here to pledge now.
Several foundations will also be present at the game including Wipe Out Kids' Cancer, Move for Miles, Susan G. Komen, and Hug A Heart Foundation.
Faceoff for the game is set for 7 p.m. CDT with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at DallasRattlers.com or by calling (800) 413-6109.
