
Rattlers Shine in MLL All-Star Game

(Rochester, NY)... The Rochester Rattlers took the Major League Lacrosse All-Star Game by storm Thursday night. Six Rattler players combined for 15 points, as the National Division All-Stars defeated their American counterparts 27-12. The win at the Mitchel Athletic Complex on Long Island was the third straight All-Star Game victory for the National Division.
Rattlers playing in the contest included attackmen Casey Powell and Josh Coffman, rookie midfielder Adam Doneger, and defensemen Marshall Abrams, John Glatzel and Ryan Mollett.
Doneger put on a clinic in his first All-Star Game appearance, scoring four timesâ two of which were two-point goals. He also netted the game-winning goal for the National Division team. He helped stake the National Division team to an early 10-4 lead with two goals and one two-point goal.
Powell also had an impressive night, notching three goals and two assists. In addition, the Rattlers' leading scorer won the Freestyle Competition during the MLL Skills Competition at halftime. This season, the three-time all-star leads the team with 33 points (17+1+15).
Coffman, who was making his first all-star appearance, recorded four goals for the Nationals. He is second on the Rattlers with 20 points (14+6).
Rochester fans will have an opportunity to see their team's all-stars tonight at 8:00 p.m. as the Rattlers practice at Bishop Kearney Field. The session is free and open to the public.
Rochester (2-5) hosts the Boston Cannons (4-3) on Saturday, July 19th at 7:35 p.m. at Bishop Kearney Field.
