Rattlers Re-Sign Midfielder Joe Gillis
FRISCO, TX - The Dallas Rattlers have signed defensive midfielder Joe Gillis to a contract extension.
Gillis, a 2017 graduate of Syracuse University, began his professional career with the Rattlers and will now remain with the team through the 2019 season. Gillis finished his career at Syracuse with 23 ground balls and eight caused turnovers over 47 appearances. When not playing, Gillis serves locally as an assistant high school lacrosse coach with Southlake.
"To have an excellent player and member of this community in Joe Gillis re-sign with the Rattlers speaks volumes about the growth of our game and the strides we continue to make in North Texas," said Rattlers President Bill Goren.
The news of the signing comes just weeks after Major League Lacrosse announced major changes including a 51% salary cap increase, an extended regular season schedule, and an additional game day active roster spot.
