Arizona Rattlers News Release

The Arizona Rattlers boosted their offensive line with a pair of signings, bringing back rookies JJ Colimon and Eric Magwood.

The Rattlers offense line allowed a league-best 0.6 sacks per game in 2022, only letting the defense get to their quarterback 12 times in 18 total games.

JJ Colimon appeared in 10 games for the Rattlers during his rookie season in the Indoor Football League. His presence helped guide the Rattlers to a league-best 4.9 yards per carry and the second most rushing touchdowns in the IFL with 60.

Colimon played college football at Central Connecticut State University, where in 2021, he was named to the All-NEC First Team after helping the Blue Devils lead the country in time of possession per game 34:24.

In 2019, Colimon played on the offensive line in 12 games. That year, the Blue Devils led the NEC in scoring, total offense and rushing yards. Their 214.2 rushing yards per game ranked 17th in the country. The second-year offensive lineman is from Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Eric Magwood appeared in 4 times for the Rattlers during his rookie campaign in the Indoor Football League. The 6'4" offensive lineman stepped in and aided the run game and should help solidify the pass protection in 2023.

Magwood played collegiately at Old Dominion, Eastern Kentucky, and most recently as a grad transfer at Middle Tennessee State as a member of the Blue Raiders where he had a productive two-year run.

He earned all-conference accolades as a senior at Landstown High School and played in the 757 All-Star Game.
